  •  Sick Policy:

When a child is sent home from school or misses school they cannot come to the Club that day. If a child gets sick while at the club, we will try to contact a parent or someone on their pick up list to come and pick them up.

  • Weapons Policy:
Absolutely no weapons of any kind are allowed on Boys & Girls Club property.  This includes, but is not limited to:  pocket knives, guns, tazers, pepper spray, scissors, razor blades, etc.  If a member is caught with a weapon, the police will be contacted immediately.

  • Lice Policy:

If a child has lice, and is sent home from school, they will not be allowed at the club until they are allowed back at school. If you know your child has lice, please do not send them to the Club. If your child has nits, please keep him/her at home.

  •  Membership cards:
When a child becomes a member they’ll receive a membership card. They must have this membership card with them at all times. The purpose of these cards is to assure that all children get scanned in and out. There is a scanner on the front desk to scan their cards when they arrive and leave. Whenever the scanner doesn’t work, they must tell the person behind the front desk to scan them in and out. The children need their membership cards to check out games from behind the front counter and to get into the computer lab. If a child looses his/her card they can buy another one at the front counter for a $1.00 fee.

  •  Club Staff:

If a member has any problems they should go tell the nearest Staff member. Staff members will always have on shirts saying STAFF on the back.

  • Behavior:

Members are expected to follow the Boys and Girls Club’s rules.

o    Hats cannot be worn in the building.

o    Members must have respect for Staff, other members and themselves.

o    Food cannot be taken out of the concession area and is not to be put in cubbies.

o    No fighting.

o    No leaving the club grounds unless we have permission from a parent telling us it is okay for the child to walk home.

o    No stealing.

o    Have respect for club property.

o    No profanity.

o    Shoes must be worn at all times.

o    Appropriate clothing must be worn.

  •  Concession Accounts:

Parents can put money into a concession account. This account is an alternative to kids bringing money everyday and risking losing and or having it stolen. The accounts work like a debit system: whenever a child purchases something from the concession stand the amount will be taken out of their account. Children cannot use other member’s accounts or take cash out of their accounts. Parents can set limits on how much money is spent daily.

  •  Lost and Found:

The club has a Lost and Found tub that is located near the cubbies. Whenever an item us found it is put in the Lost and Found or behind the front desk. Parents can call the front counter to ask if an item was found. Smaller items are usually kept behind the front desk. When items are not claimed after several months they are taken to the Salvation Army.

  •  Personal Property:

Members should keep their toys, trading cards, etc. at home. This will ensure that nothing gets stolen or that the members don’t argue over them. The club is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
